Thursday 28 February - Meditation

From today's gospel....
Now he was casting out a demon that was mute; when the demon had gone out, the one who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed.

from Luke 11

To reflect on....
Historians at the time of Jesus record how he performed miracles and went through the countryside healing people of their illnesses.
The following was copied from an original letter of Publius Lentullus:
"There appeared in these our days a man, of the Jewish Nation, of great virtue, named Yeshua [Jesus], who is yet living among us, and of the Gentiles is accepted for a Prophet of truth, but His own disciples call Him the Son of God - He raiseth the dead and cureth all manner of diseases.”

Let's Pray....
Lord of healing, take my wounded life, my wounded being and wrap it around with the balm of your presence. You give to us wholeness – teach us to trust you completely so we may know the reality of that wholeness. Amen.
